“Environmental Investment 2024” examines the impact of environmental regulations and legislation on the business sector
The Environmental Investment Forum 2024, organized by the Asharqia Chamber under the slogan "Restoration and Sustainability," and sponsored by the Prince of the Eastern Province, His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, will be held on Sunday, May 5, 2024. The forum will discuss the impact of environmental regulations and legislation on the business sector, along with other topics related to environmental investments.
According to the Chairman of the Chamber's Board of Directors, Badr bin Suleiman Al-Razeza, the forum aims to enhance the business sector's understanding of environmental regulations and legislation, whether updated or newly launched. It also aims to highlight ongoing programs and initiatives and enable access to diverse investment opportunities in the environmental field. Additionally, it aims to familiarize businesses with support programs and financial funding provided by the government for environmental projects.
Al-Razeza noted that the environmental sector receives significant attention from our wise government in line with the goals of Vision 2030, due to its utmost importance in preserving renewable natural resources in terrestrial, marine, and atmospheric environments. He emphasized that it provides the necessary foundation for achieving comprehensive and sustainable growth, food security, enhancing human welfare, and improving the quality of life in line with aspirations.
He further pointed out that the forum comes within the Kingdom's efforts to expand the base of environmental investments and will witness broad participation from a large group of experts, officials, and stakeholders in the environmental sector, as well as those interested in the economic sector in general. It will discuss various topics related to the challenges facing businesses interested in environmental investments and aims to reveal all support programs and financial funding provided by the government for environmental projects. It will also review investment opportunities in the environmental services sector for the implementation of current and future environmental compliance projects. He stated that the coming periods predict a greater increase in the trend towards environmental investments.
